Event Messages is operated by Push Instant Notifications LLC ("we"). This policy describes what the app collects, why it needs it, and who else handles it. We do not sell personal information, we do not share it for advertising, and the app contains no advertising, no analytics and no third-party tracking.
What we collect

We do not collect your location, your contacts, your photos, or any advertising identifier. We do not build a profile of you and there is nothing in the app that follows you to other apps or websites.
Dictation
You can dictate an update instead of typing it. When you do, your device's own speech recognition converts the audio to text — that is Apple's on iPhone and Google's on Android, governed by their privacy policies. We never receive the audio, and we never record or store it. Only the text that appears in the box, once you post it, reaches us. Dictation is optional; the microphone is used only while you are actively dictating.
Payments
Events are paid for by in-app purchase through the App Store or Google Play. We never see your card. No card number, no billing address and no payment method reaches us or is stored by us at any point — Apple and Google collect the money and pay us.
What we do keep, for each completed purchase, is an accounting record: the store's transaction identifier, which event was bought, who bought it, the amount and currency where the store tells us, the country of the buyer's store account, and the time of the charge. We are required to keep these records for tax and accounting purposes, and they are retained after the related event is deleted.
Who else handles your information
- Google (Firebase) — our app runs on Firebase. Google stores the database, handles sign-in and phone verification, and delivers push notifications on our behalf.
- Apple and Google — as the stores that process payments, and as the providers of the dictation described above.
- Zoho and Resend — our email, including automated messages such as password resets.
These are service providers acting on our instructions. We do not give your information to anyone else, other than where the law requires it.
What other people can see
When you subscribe to an event, the organiser of that event can see your name, email address and phone number on their subscriber list, so they can identify who is attending and grant posting rights. When you post an update, your name appears on it to everyone who can read that event. Updates cannot be edited or deleted once posted.
Keeping and deleting your information
We keep your account information for as long as your account exists. Unsubscribing from an event removes that subscription immediately. An organiser deleting an event removes the event, its updates and every subscription to it.
You can ask us to delete your account and the personal information attached to it by writing to [email protected] from the address on the account. We will action it within 30 days. Purchase records are kept for as long as tax and accounting law requires, with the personal details in them reduced to what those obligations need.
Security
Information travels encrypted between your phone and our servers. Access is enforced on the server, not merely hidden in the app: the rules governing who may read or write each record run on Google's infrastructure and apply no matter what software is talking to it. Phone numbers must be verified by SMS before an account can be used, and payment status can only ever be set by our servers after the store confirms the transaction.
Children
Event Messages is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect information from them. If you believe a child has created an account, write to us and we will remove it.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to see the information we hold about you, to correct it, to have it deleted, or to object to how we use it. Write to [email protected] and we will help. You will never be charged or treated differently for exercising these rights.
Changes
If this policy changes we will update the date at the top of this page. Where the change is significant we will also say so in the app.
